Brunch & Parcels

So today my parcels finally arrived!!!! 

Samplestore really offers extremely cute packaging!!!! This was the first & I think only package I would handle with such care & cut the top off so nicely because it's just too pretty to be ruined LOL

The mint coloured packaging on the right is for the primer I bought on Carousell (sounds so vain but stilllllll) 

Read about primers & realised that they're really important if you want your makeup to last longer throughout the day!!!! So I'm gonna incorporate it into my makeup routine HAHA <:

YAY this is the primer that I bought on Carousell for $8 (inclusive of normal mail)

It has about 40-50% of it left in the bottle but works out for me because I have rather sensitive skin & I'd like to try out this product before actually getting a full bottle to use!! (: 

But I read reviews about this product beforehand & it sounded like a rather good product.. So let's hope it'll be as good for me as people say it is for them ;) 

I really really love purchasing stuff on Carousell now cause it's definitely cheaper as compared to buying it in shops itself hahaha. 

Like the Maybelline Hypersharp Eyeliner that I bought previously, I got it for $10 when I think Watsons sells it for close to $20? 

But always remember to ask the seller about the product beforehand, like asking when he/she bought the product, & how much of it has been used, those kind of questions. Or you could just refer to the number of buyer/seller reviews of the person you're purchasing from to see if the person is "legit" hahahaha

I haven't tried all the samples yet cause I mean.. I JUST GOT THEM TODAY HELLO 

But I'm really excited to be trying them out *dances around with them* (weird alert)

ANDANDAND how can I miss out the first keyword in the title of my blogpost rightttttt?? 

BRUNCH. 

So I cooked brunch for myself today

#nuttyfornutella 

This is Nutella & Cheese French Toast!!

Initial Verdict (What I thought): CHEESE GOES WELL WITH ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.

Actual Verdict: I've got to silently accept the fact that cheese DOES NOT go well with just everything. 

It tasted rather okay but I think the cheese kinda ruined it SIGH HAHAHA sadly. 

& another tip, please don't be as stupid as me to cook this on a warm humid sunny day because you'd feel extremely heaty afterwards & feel the need to down at least two cups of water. 

This is a really really simple dish that anyone can do, really. Because I did it, so can you. And I'm really an amateur HAHAHA (there. I said it.)

You'd just need to mix 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, all in a wide bowl (wide enough to place your bread on it)

Then after mixing them well in the bowl, grab two slices of bread, spread Nutella (AND ONLY NUTELLA NO CHEESE) onto one slice of the bread, squish the two slices of bread together, & dip it into the mixture bowl such that the bread (both sides) is evenly coated with the mixture. 

Then melt about a tablespoon of butter in a pan, spread the butter out in the pan evenly, then place the bread (evenly coated with the mixture) onto the pan to fry, flip the bread to the other side, and then when it's fried, you're done!

VOILA!! 

A'ighty I'll need to go get ready to spend some fam-time in JB so BYEEEEEE ;)

Dreams.

I have a lot of dreams.
Dreams not being those you have at night, though I do get those occasionally, but in this post, I'm talking about dreams like aspirations that I have.. Things that I aspire to do.
Things I'll like to start doing even now if it's possible.

People used to always ask me, "So what do you want to be when you grow up?" or "Do you have in mind what you'd like to do when you're older?"
And I always reply with a shrug, side smile, saying "I don't know.. yet."

But that was a lie.

I always knew inside of me that I wanted to do many many many things.
But I knew that everything I've ever thought of doing, it all always boiled down to one thing.
To give back, to help. To serve.

It was because I had so many, so many plans bubbling inside of me that even if I wanted to tell someone what my plans were, they'd not even live to tell the tale because I would never be able to stop talking about 'The Plans of My Future'.
But it was also because I didn't have an exact goal as to where I could start, for me to even tell people what the plan for myself was.

Okay I've talked a lot about my "PLAN" and I'm sure you're all already getting sick of this word so.

I was watching the telly just now as usual and I cam across this show on Cesar Millan. (In case you guys don't know, Cesar is a really really awesome man who can really connect well with dogs, and he's known as the dog whisperer, and there are shows where he goes to the houses of people who have problems with their dog, and he helps to solve these problems. Go read up on him if you're interested to know more, he's really cool.)
So this particular episode of the show was talking about the breed of Pitbulls.
For me, I personally… adore pitbulls. Honestly.
I would admit that in the past, when I was younger, I didn't really have a good impression about bulldogs or pitbulls because.. of their physical appearance.
AND the show on Tom & Jerry, remember that grey bulldog that always appeared to chase Tom around & such? Yea because of how society always portrays Bulldogs & pit bulls to be a bully breed, and a really ferocious type of dog, it also made me dislike such breeds.
I remember when I was younger, I always hoped I could get a Yorkshire Terrier or a Maltese.
I was so set on either of these two breeds as a pet because they were adorable.
Cute and small, every little girl's dream.
But it's only now that I've learnt that Pitbulls and Bulldogs are definitely not a bully breed.
Every dog is a good dog. Dogs are just like humans. Every human was definitely not born a murderer, rapist, or a criminal. It's only because of the love and care they receive, because of societal opinions, because of the environment they lived in that determined what they became when they were older and had the ability to think for themselves.
Dogs too. Every puppy when brought into this world were pure and definitely are not aggressive. Yes it may be true that different breeds of dogs may have their own special attributes in terms of hyperactivity and their needs etc, but every dog definitely was born with a good nature and it's under what kind of an environment it is living in that actually determines what character they adopt.
If a dog is treated with love and care in a loving family, it would only make sense for the dog to repay that family with only more love. Vicely Versa.
Anyway sorry, for this mid rant cause it really broke my heart when I watched the show and learnt that such a beautiful breed of dogs were being so badly misunderstood by people. The consequence of this deep misunderstanding is euthanasia for the pit bulls and bulldogs that people gave away.
Even for owners of Pitbulls who loved their dogs so much.. they had no choice but to surrender their dogs to the authorities in America because of probably complaints from neighbors who were worried about living in the same area as the "aggressive" pit bulls.

That's why I wish I could do volunteer work, or donate to such a good cause, or just to do something to be able to help improve the situation.
There are so many big things I wish I could do. Like create an association for a good cause.
I'm not sure if in Singapore this problem or misunderstanding people have for the breed of pit bulls and bulldogs is deep that it should be alarming or not, but when I searched on Google.. I think there isn't such an association catering to the saving of this breed of dogs.

This is one of my many plans.

Some other plans that I have are rather personal, I might disclose at a later time but.. I really wish that in future, I won't be tied to a 9 to 5 kinda job where I'd live just chained to the office, and not living with a meaning or a purpose.

I want to live a purposeful life.

As people say, YOLO (You Only Live Once).
I may not know your definition of YOLO, but for me, because YOLO, hence I intend to make the best of my life to do purposeful things, that will hopefully make a change, albeit small or big, in this world.




Another thing that inspired me just today when I was in the shower. (Ikr, I always get weird inspirations when I'm in the shower.)

Sometimes in life, it definitely will not be smooth sailing. (Pfft. You don't say.)
That being said, there are people who are constantly unhappy and they just unknowingly begin to hate life, complain about how sucky life is.. And I know that because I used to be someone like that too. I complained a lot. Though I may not say it out all the time, inside I knew I hated how sucky life was.
Then today I looked back and received inspiration.
Sometimes you wonder, why some people have it all so good, born with not a silver, but a diamond spoon in their mouth, and everything just seems to go so well for them.
And then you look at yourself and about the things you have and you can't help but start to feel inferior and jealous.
But I feel that.. sometimes to look at it from another angle, you are given tests and tribulations even more than some people in this life, because you are capable of handling it.
Because you are meant to do big things.. I'm saying you are meant to do big things.. IF you endure to the end and not just give up on life halfway.

Many big characters in this world, are not simply just born with such wonderful abilities and POOF they become millionaires and billionaires just like that *snap*
But they definitely faced much MORE problems, setbacks and turmoils in life as compared to their peers, and they didn't give up no matter what but went through these "trainings" to ultimately, emerge as the winner among their peers.

So to think of it on the positive side, sometimes when you're going through a rough time, having a rough day, it's all just a test of how much you can handle and how durable your positive attitude can be.
One day you'll be so formidable that nothing will be able to stand in your way if you endure and get through every problem you face. I mean.. that makes sense right? If you've endured the worst of problems and made it through, what else can stand in your way to succeeding?

That's why today as I looked back on my life, I'm actually thankful for all the trials I've went through, those rough periods, tough responsibilities and even the environment I'm in.
I'm definitely not here by coincidence.
So now I choose not to complain but to endure, endure and learn.

And so I know that one day I'd be able to live out my dreams after life has fully equipped me with enough life lessons to endure through anything at all.


Hahaha Okay I'm sorry if right now I sound like some author of the "The pathway of success in Life"
But well, this is what I was thinking about today so I just felt like sharing with the rest of you who are reading this now hahaha

Second customer.

So I was unhappy about this just, just now. 

I've now started selling stuff on Carousell for just 3 weeks plus? 

& I have sold two listings so far. 

Both were assessment books.

The first listing sold got me a positive review from the customer.

The second listing sold had the customer say I cheated her. 

Just a note, I extremely rarely use full stops when I text people. Because I think it is rude, but for this case. 

This is my reply to her. 

Kinda lengthy.. So here goes.

It takes two hands to clap. (Okay some people have big hands & can clap with one hand, I know it's possible but whatever I'm trying to make a point here)

I'm definitely at fault on my part but it's just the way she texts that upsets me. 

And why does she text in such a.. I don't know how to describe.. Way? 

I had to read this like multiple times to fully understand what she meant. 

And I also had to change & edit my reply back to her many times to make sure I replied correctly & answered all the things she was upset about. 

I don't know if I'll get judged for this or what, but these is all I really feel & I'm just being honest in my reply. 

Sigh. I just don't like being labelled as a cheat I mean like I really was careless I guess? I wasn't careful enough that's what happened. So I will learn from this incident. 

I prayed about this before typing my message. Then I got inspiration like, "Do you think you are a cheat?" & I was sure I wasn't, because that was never my intention. "Then why should it bother you so much?" 

But no matter what, I feel it's only right to clear the air & to clear this misunderstanding. 

I sincerely still hope for the best for this customer, & for her godson also to do well for his As.

I mean it. 

Okay. It has been a long night & thank you for reading this post & I hope you don't judge me after this thanks.

Having a sucky day today too. 

Hitched a car ride from my parents to go to J8 but only to realise I forgot to bring my phone out, & my phone is really important or else how to contact the people I'm meeting with??? Ugh. 

So had to walk all the way home, to get my phone & just took the bus to J8 or else I'd be late. 

Okay but oh well. #staypositive

At least I got to exercise since I missed morning exercise today!

Picture perfect memories

Today was a "Fun-In-The-Sun" kinda day!!! (:

Went out with lei as usual & we went to collect our pay for our collection of data job!!!! *KA-CHING*

Then we went to D Good Cafe @ Holland V for lunch! ;)

Sadly we didn't get the nice seats with the swing ): but it's alright, because EVEN NICER PICS are on the way~ 

Just.. Promise me you'll stay with me till the end of this post okay? ;)

I had the Eggs Benedict ($13.50) & you can top up with an additional drink ($3) with the option of Coffee or a cold drink!

But I skipped topping up with an addition drink because.... Desserts are more important HAHAHA (don't y'all agree? Aw C'mon.)

But the Eggs Ben were nice, no doubt, but not really special in my opinion. I wouldn't specially come back to this cafe just to have their eggs Ben hahaha

On the other hand, lei had the Chicken Tikki Masala ($12) & I tried a little of hers & it tasted AMAZING. If I were to go back to D Good Cafe, I'd definitely be ordering this instead! (: 

Now moving on to... DESSERTS!!

Top dessert is the Chocolate Lava Cake ($5) & the bottom dessert is the Maple Sea Salt Cheesecake ($9)!!

Both of these dessert dishes-

Omg sorry to suddenly cut off but I just saw my dog do the most adorable thing ever HAHAHA he was sleeping when he suddenly woke up with a jolt & used his paws to scratch his snout part (if u get what I mean) & then turned his head & now he's sleeping like this

Okay anyway sorry for the sudden cut off..

As I was saying..

Both of these dessert dishes taste Amazing... when consumed separately.

It was a mistake to order both desserts to consume together. Because one dish offers a bittersweet taste (Choc Lava Cake) & the other dish offers the opposite, a salty taste (Maple sea salt cheesecake) 

Hence the taste was abit awkward. Cause we shared both desserts so we had to down water to clear the taste of one dessert before moving on to the next dessert. 

So Yeap! Just for u guys to take note if you're both a fan of lava cake & maple sea salt cheesecake (like me <:)

So in total we spent close to $40! (: 

But we just got our pay.. & we worked really hard to earn this money... So...

THIS MEAL WAS WORTH IT :D

We were about to leave the place when we decided to explore the cafe abit more, because there were 2 levels of the cafe! The cafe is found on levels 2 & 3! Level 1 is like a dermatologist clinic or a dentist if I'm not wrong heh! I was too fascinated by the lift we took to go upstairs I didn't take note of what was on level 1 *guilty smile* 

We ended up finding this really beautifully decorated rooftop place!!! 

P/S: I'm having a breakout so my face is in a mess so pardon me for my messed up face 

Thennnnn we spent like half an hour (HAHA IKR) in front of the MRT board deciding where we should go next to take pictures!! 

The weather today, though it POURED this morning, was horrible in the afternoon. Extremely sunny, & HUMID! 

After much deliberation....

I don't know why we did this to ourselves but I'm thankful we did..

We decided to go to Botanical gardens HAHAHA 

Yes. Despite it being super sunny & warm & though in our hearts we hoped to go to someplace air conditioned, we went ahead with Botanical Gardens.
